Eating Healthy is NOT Expensive!

Hello(: I'm starting to bring my own lunch to school. Why? Because it's cheaper, healthier (since I control what goes in my lunch), and I'm getting bored of school food. There is such a limited choice of healthy food available in school. I'm still a noob in the kitchen, but I like cooking and I'm learning. And, I'm currently on a tight budget so it's perfect.

So, last night, I made chicken pasta aglio olio. It has its protein (chicken), vege (lettuce) and carbs (pasta). People tend to stay away from carbs when they are adopting a healthy lifestyle, but your body needs carbs! If it doesn't get carbs the healthy way, it will make you reach out for that sugary snack when it's low on carbs! Just don't go overboard with the carbs such that your whole plate is filled with carbs, like fried rice or fried bee hoon. Sticking to whole grain carbs like brown rice and wholemeal bread is the way to go (: Be sure to include plentiful of protein and vegetables in your meal.

In to the tupperware it goes for my lunch today(:

And the downside of cooking; cleaning up after your mess. Haha.

Oh, check out my new kittens. Gonna give them away when they're two months old because we seriously have WAY TOO MANY cats. My house is like a breeding house for cats. We currently have like three mothers who just gave birth, so in total 13 kittens! That is on top of the 10 adult kittens we have. Goodness. But, still, they're so cute when they're kittens, running around and playing. Might as well enjoy them while they're here haha.
